School Announcements
The four marking period will run from Monday, April 10 through Friday, June 16, 2017.

We will be administering the NYS Math assessments to our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders on May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.

What parents need to know about the NYS assessments. http://www.p12.nysed.gov/assessment/ei/2017/2017-handout-for-parents-3-8-tests.pdf

Our MS/HS play will be A Voice in the Dark: A Salem Story by Elizabeth Downing.  It is a theatrical challenge and a history lesson all rolled into one. Although the story line is not historically accurate, the people and situations are sadly true. Set in Salem Village, 1692, the cast will tell you a story of greed, greif, friendship and bravery. Who will be on truth's side?  Shows will be Friday, May 5 at 7pm and Sunday, May 7 at 2pm.

Dear Students and Families,

It is an honor and privilege to start as the Middle/High Principal at Morrisville-Eaton.  I am excited about the opportunity to work with students in grades 6-12.  My educational career started at the middle school level and I have great respect and understanding of developing a well-rounded student.  I will focus on creating a learning environment where students will grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

We are well into the 2016-2017 school year and will be reaching the half way mark on January 27, the end of the second marking period.  We will be offering January Regents Exams January 24-27.  If your son/daughter is taking a Regents Exam, please encourage them to review material, get a good night sleep and eat a healthy breakfast the morning of the exam.

Your child’s second quarter report card is coming home Friday, February 3.  As always, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teachers if you have any questions about your child’s academic or social progress.

As the year progresses, I would like to encourage all students to become involved in the school community.  We will be focused on providing opportunities and experiences that will help each student grow socially, emotionally and academically.

I am looking forward to becoming an integral piece in your child’s educational experience.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.  Thank you for your continued support at home.

Sincerely,

Benjamin New
